Start your 30-day free trial

Composerie includes a 30-day free trial. You add a card to start it, you pay nothing for 30 days, and you get an email 3 days before the first charge.

Every Composerie account starts with a 30-day free trial. This guide explains what the trial includes, how it starts, and what happens on day 30. It is for new merchants setting up Composerie for the first time.

What the trial includes

Your trial runs for 30 days. You get full access to every feature during that time, so you can build products, set up the customizer, and connect a print provider before you pay anything.

You are not charged while the trial is active. Transaction fees do not apply during the trial either. They only begin once the trial ends.

A card is required upfront to begin. You add it when you start the trial, but nothing is billed until day 30. In billing settings, Composerie says it plainly: “Credit card is required upfront. You will only be charged when the 30-day trial ends.” You will also see “No transaction fees are billed during trial.”

Three days before the first charge, Composerie emails you a reminder. The subject is “Your Composerie trial ends in 3 days.” That gives you time to review your plan or cancel if you need to.

The trial banner in Settings, then Billing shows how many days are left and confirms the card is required upfront.

Start the trial

You start the trial during onboarding, on the Billing step (step 4 of 5). You reach it after you connect a store. How the step looks depends on your platform.

Connect a store first

The Billing step is not skippable, and it comes after you connect a store. If you have not connected one yet, do that first. See connect your Shopify store.

Open the Billing step

When you reach the Billing step, you see the heading “Start your 30-day free trial.” What appears below it depends on your platform: a Stripe card form for Etsy-only shops, or a “Continue to Shopify” card for Shopify stores.

If your store is on Shopify, approve the plan in Shopify

For Shopify stores, the card form is not shown in Composerie. Your subscription is charged on your Shopify invoice instead. Select “Continue to Shopify,” approve the plan in your Shopify admin, and you return to Composerie automatically.

Shopify stores approve the plan in their Shopify admin, then come back to Composerie.

If you connected Etsy only, enter your card

For an Etsy-only shop, you enter your card and billing details on a secure Stripe form. Submitting it starts your trial.

Once your subscription is created, Composerie sends a confirmation email. The subject is “Your 30-day free trial has started.” If you do not see it, check your spam folder.

When the trial ends

The first charge happens at the end of day 30, after the reminder email arrives 3 days earlier. Nothing is billed before then.

You can review, change, or cancel your plan any time before day 30. See manage your subscription for the steps.

Once the trial ends, transaction fees begin counting on the orders Composerie processes. To understand how those fees work and when they apply, read transaction fees explained.
