This guide shows you how to save a design as a template in the Design Studio, then reuse it later. It is for anyone who builds similar layouts often and wants a faster starting point.
A template stores a full design so you can load it again on a new product. Save the layouts you reuse the most, like a name on the front of a mug or a logo block on a tote. Each saved template appears in the Templates panel as a named thumbnail.
Save a design as a template
Once your design looks right, save it so you can start from it next time. Saving stores the current design and adds it to the Templates panel.
Open the Templates panel
In the Design Studio, find the icon rail on the side. Click the Templates icon. The Templates panel opens and lists any templates you have already saved.
Click Save as template
At the top of the panel, click the Save as template button. Composerie saves your current design and adds it to the grid below. The new template appears with a thumbnail and a name.
Reuse it on future designs
Your template now lives in the Templates panel. You can open it on any product to start from this layout instead of a blank canvas.
Apply a saved template
To start from a saved layout, open the Templates panel and pick a thumbnail. The template loads straight into the editor.
Open the Templates panel
Click the Templates icon in the icon rail. The panel shows your saved templates as thumbnails, each with its name below it. If you have not saved any yet, you see a “No templates yet” message instead.
Click a template thumbnail
Click the thumbnail you want. Composerie loads that template into the editor, and you can keep editing from there.
If you work across more than one print area, set those up in manage surfaces before you save, so your template carries the right layout. To check how a template looks on the product, open the mockup preview.
Where are my saved templates?
They live in the Templates panel, which you open from the icon rail in the Design Studio. Each one shows as a thumbnail with its name.
What happens if I apply a template by accident?
Applying a template replaces the current design. Save the design you have now as its own template first if you want to keep it.
Why is my Templates panel empty?
You have not saved any templates yet. The panel shows a No templates yet message until you save your first one.
If a template will not save or load and you have tried again, contact support.
