This guide explains what Composerie costs and how your bill is built. It is for merchants deciding whether to start, and for anyone who wants to understand the two parts of their monthly charge. By the end you will know what the plan is, what the platform fee covers, and how the per-item fee works.
One plan: Growth
Composerie has a single plan called Growth. There is no free tier, and there is no plan picker to compare. When you open your billing settings, the plan card shows the name Growth with an Only plan badge next to it. That badge is there on purpose: Growth is the one and only plan.
Growth gives you access to all of Composerie’s core features. That includes unlimited core features, unlimited designs and storefront personalization, usage-based billing that scales with the personalized items you sell, and the Stripe billing portal for invoices and payment management. You are not paying for a stripped-down tier and waiting to upgrade. Everything is included from the start.
Your cost has two parts. The first is a monthly fee for each store you connect. The second is a small fee for each personalized item you sell. The next two sections cover each part in turn.
The monthly platform fee
The platform fee is 49 USD per month for each connected store. In the app this reads as $49 / month per platform. A “platform” here means a connected store, such as your Shopify store.
If you connect a second store, that store adds another 49 USD per month. For example, connecting Shopify plus Etsy means two platforms, so the platform part of your bill is 98 USD per month. To see this clearly, open Settings, then Billing, and scroll to the Connected platforms section. Each connected store appears as its own row at $49/mo, and a Total platform fees line adds them up for you.
You can confirm the exact figure in two places: on the Composerie pricing page, and inside Settings, Billing. Both show the same number.
The per-item transaction fee
On top of the monthly platform fee, you pay a small fee for each personalized item you sell. This is the usage-based part of Growth. If you sell more personalized items in a month, you pay a bit more in transaction fees that month. If you sell fewer, you pay less.
The per-item fee is not flat. It drops as your monthly volume rises, so higher-volume stores pay a lower rate per item. The full ladder of price tiers, with the exact rate at each volume level, lives in its own guide. See transaction fees explained for the complete breakdown and a worked example.
If you are still in your trial, no transaction fees are billed yet. See your free trial for how the trial works and when billing starts.
