Connect Printify to Composerie

If Printify is shown as available for your account, use the enabled setup path and verify the complete mapped-order flow before live use.

This is a candidate setup guide for accounts where Printify is explicitly shown as available in Integrations → Fulfillment. Only the live Integrations screen for your account is authoritative; this article, a provider logo, or a direct URL does not prove availability. If Printify is absent or unavailable there, stop: it is outside your current live scope.

When the Printify setup action is enabled, use this guide to verify the account and store Composerie can use. A connection alone does not submit orders: configure an eligible product mapping and fulfillment settings, then verify an accepted Printify reference with a test order before production.

Some enabled account configurations can show two setup paths: sign in with Printify or provide a Printify personal access token. Follow only the controls displayed for your account; both candidate paths end with selecting the Printify store Composerie should use.

Before you start

You need a Printify account with at least one API store. Composerie cannot finish the connection until that store exists. If your account has no stores, the connection is blocked with a message asking you to create a Printify store first.

If you plan to use the API key path, have your Printify personal access token ready. Printify only shows a token once, when you generate it, so copy it right away.

The connect page includes a setup guide called “How merchants set up Printify”. It has direct links to Printify’s help articles for generating a token, creating an API store, and setting up store details and order approval. Open it if you have not set up Printify yet.

Connect Printify

From an available Printify card, open the connect page and follow the setup path shown there. Depending on the enabled configuration, the page can offer provider sign-in, an API-key flow, or both.

Open the Printify connect page

Go to Integrations and open the Fulfillment section. Continue only when the Printify card explicitly shows an available setup action, then select it to open the connect page.

If both setup methods are enabled, the page shows provider sign-in and an API key form below a divider labelled “Or use an API key”. If only one method is shown, use only that method.

Choose how to connect

If “Authorize with Printify” is shown, select it and follow Printify’s authorization window.

If the “Or use an API key” divider is shown, paste your Printify personal access token into the field in Step 1. An absent method is not enabled for that account.

Test the token (API key path)

If you used the API key path, click “Test connection”. Composerie checks the token by reading the stores on your Printify account. When the test succeeds, it shows how many Printify stores were found.

If the token is rejected, double-check the value or generate a new one in Printify. If no stores are found, create an API store in Printify first, then test again.

Select the store to connect

After a successful test, open the store dropdown in Step 2 and pick the Printify store you want Composerie to use. Each store lists its sales channel so you can tell them apart.

Finish connecting

Click the connect button to save. Composerie stores your token encrypted and records the store you selected.

If you ever reconnect with a new token, Composerie updates the existing connection rather than creating a second one. A re-test confirms the token still works.

Confirm the connection

After you connect, the page switches to the connected view. It shows the store you selected, its sales channel, and a “Last verified” time so you know the connection is healthy.

From here you can click “Browse Catalog” to open the Printify catalog and start a product. See browse a provider catalog for how to pick a blank and import it.

Printify uses its v1 API for the connection, catalog browsing, and order fulfillment. To learn how Composerie keeps the link working over time and what to do if the status turns to a warning, read keep a provider connection healthy.

I see no stores after testing my token.

Your Printify account has no API store yet. Open My Stores in Printify, add a new store, and choose API. Then come back and test the token again.

Printify rejected my token.

Check that you pasted the full personal access token with no extra spaces. If it still fails, generate a new token in Printify and try again.

Can I switch the connected store later?

Yes. Reconnect with the same or a new token, test it, and pick a different store from the dropdown. Composerie updates the existing connection.

Is my token stored safely?

Yes. Composerie stores the token encrypted at rest and only records the store you selected.

Next

After the connection, mapping, and end-to-end test are verified, use browse a provider catalog to continue with an eligible Printify product. Do not treat a connected badge by itself as production readiness.
