Connect Printful to Composerie

If Printful is available in your Composerie account, connect an eligible store and verify the capabilities reported by the connection.

This guide explains the Printful connection flow when Printful is explicitly shown as available in Integrations → Fulfillment. Only the live Integrations screen for your account is authoritative; this article, a provider logo, or a direct URL does not prove availability. If Printful is absent or unavailable there, stop: it is outside your current live scope.

A successful connection can expose the capabilities granted by your Printful token; catalog, order, and webhook behavior still depend on the selected store, scopes, and current integration status. Verify the complete mapped-order flow and an accepted provider reference before production.

Before you start

A little setup in Printful makes the connection go smoothly.

  • Have a Printful account ready, with your store and payment settings configured. Confirm the payment details in Printful before validating a test order and provider reference.
  • Decide which Printful store Composerie should fulfill from. If your Printful account has more than one store, you pick the right one during connect.
  • If the API-token path is available, generate a private token with only the scopes listed on Composerie’s connection screen. Review those scopes in Printful before approval.

The connect page includes a guide titled “How to set up Printful”. It links straight to the Printful dashboard and the Printful API docs, so you can open each step in a new tab and follow along.

Connect Printful

Follow only the setup method displayed on the available Printful card. Depending on the account configuration, the page can show Printful authorization, an API-token form, or both.

Open the Printful connect page

Go to the Integrations hub in the dashboard and open the Fulfillment section. Continue only when the Printful card explicitly shows an available setup action, then select it to open the connect page.

Choose how to connect

Use one of the connection methods shown on the page. If one-click authorization is available, follow the Printful approval screen. If an API-token form is available, paste a token you manage yourself.

Paste and test your token

If you chose the API-token path, paste the token and run the connection test. Continue only after Composerie reports a successful validation and shows the stores returned for that credential.

Select the store to connect

After the token tests successfully, choose the Printful store Composerie should use for fulfillment. The store selector lists each store on your account along with its type.

Finish connecting

Click Connect. The form will not let you finish until a store is selected, so if Connect stays disabled, choose a store first. Composerie stores your token encrypted and records the store you picked.

If the connection flow reports that a webhook was registered, Composerie can receive supported status events for that selected store. When Printful returns tracking in a supported event or status response, Composerie can record it on the related provider order.

Confirm the connection

After connecting, return to the Printful connect page to check everything looks right.

The page shows the connected store name and a Last verified time. Use those values, the connection status, and a test workflow to confirm the credential still works. Provider status and tracking appear only when Printful returns them through a supported connection path.

From here you can open the Printful catalog and start building a product. Look for the Browse Catalog button on the connected page.

Common questions

One-click connect or API token, which should I use?

Use one of the methods shown in your account. One-click uses Printful's authorization screen; the API-token path lets you control the credential and scopes yourself.

Why does the Connect button stay disabled?

You have not selected a store yet. Test your token, then choose a Printful store from the list. Connect becomes available once a store is selected.

My token tested fine but no stores appeared. What now?

Create a store in Printful first, then come back and test the token again. Composerie needs a store to fulfill from before it can connect.

Is my API token safe?

Yes. Composerie stores the token encrypted and only records which store you selected. If you ever want to rotate it, disconnect and reconnect with a fresh token.

Will connecting Printful overwrite my existing webhook?

It can. Printful allows one webhook configuration per store, so Composerie's registration replaces the previous one. The connect screen warns you before this happens.
