This guide shows you how to connect your Printful account to Composerie. Once connected, Composerie can pull products from the Printful catalog and route personalized orders to Printful for printing and shipping. It is written for store owners setting up their first print provider, and the steps take a few minutes.

Before you start
A little setup in Printful makes the connection go smoothly.
- Have a Printful account ready, with your store and payment settings configured. Printful needs payment details to process the orders Composerie sends.
- Decide which Printful store Composerie should fulfill from. If your Printful account has more than one store, you pick the right one during connect.
- If you plan to use the API token path, generate a private API token in Printful with scopes for orders, products, and webhooks. Composerie needs all three: orders to send fulfillment, products to read the catalog, and webhooks to receive tracking.

Connect Printful
Follow these steps to link Printful. You can connect in one click, or paste an API token if you prefer to manage the credential yourself.
Open the Printful connect page
Go to the Integrations hub in the dashboard, open the Fulfillment section, and click the Printful card. This opens the Printful connect page.
Choose how to connect
Use the one-click connect to sign in to Printful and authorize Composerie. If you would rather paste a token, click “Or use an API key” to open the API key form.
Paste and test your token
If you chose the API key path, paste your private API token into the field, then test it. Composerie validates the token with Printful before it lets you continue. A successful test reads back the stores on your account.
Select the store to connect
After the token tests successfully, choose the Printful store Composerie should use for fulfillment. The store selector lists each store on your account along with its type.
Finish connecting
Click Connect. The form will not let you finish until a store is selected, so if Connect stays disabled, choose a store first. Composerie stores your token encrypted and records the store you picked.
When you connect with an API token, Composerie also registers an order-status webhook on the store you selected. That webhook is how shipping updates and tracking numbers flow back into Composerie without any manual work.
Confirm the connection
After connecting, return to the Printful connect page to check everything looks right.
The page now shows the connected store name and a Last verified time, so you can see when Composerie last confirmed the credential is working. Order status and tracking sync back through the webhook Composerie registered during connect. A regular background poll backs that up, so if a webhook is ever missed, Composerie still catches the update.

Common questions
One-click connect or API token, which should I use?
Either works. One-click signs you in to Printful and authorizes Composerie for you. The API token path lets you control the credential and its scopes yourself. Both end with you selecting a store.
Why does the Connect button stay disabled?
You have not selected a store yet. Test your token, then choose a Printful store from the list. Connect becomes available once a store is selected.
My token tested fine but no stores appeared. What now?
Create a store in Printful first, then come back and test the token again. Composerie needs a store to fulfill from before it can connect.
Is my API token safe?
Yes. Composerie stores the token encrypted and only records which store you selected. If you ever want to rotate it, disconnect and reconnect with a fresh token.
Will connecting Printful overwrite my existing webhook?
It can. Printful allows one webhook configuration per store, so Composerie's registration replaces the previous one. The connect screen warns you before this happens.
