This guide shows you how to manage your workspace, the organization that holds your Composerie account. You can rename it, set its URL slug, add a logo and a contact email, pick a default currency and timezone, and (if you are the Owner) delete it. These are admin-level settings, so they sit in one place: the General settings page.
You need the Admin role to open and edit General settings. If you do not see this page, ask an Admin or Owner to update your access. To learn how roles work, see manage your team and roles.
The settings menu groups pages into three areas. Workspace holds General, Team, and Localization. Below that are Billing and Connections. Account holds your Profile, Notifications, and Security. This article covers the General page under Workspace.
Organization name, slug, and logo
The Organization section sets your workspace identity: its name, its URL slug, a logo, and a contact email. Follow the steps below to edit each one.
Open the General settings page
In the dashboard, open Settings. General is the first item under Workspace. The page loads with your current Organization details at the top.
Remember that this page needs the Admin role. If it is hidden, your account does not have admin access yet.
Edit the organization name and check the slug
Update the Organization name field with the name you want to show. Below it, the Organization slug is a URL-friendly identifier in lowercase with hyphens only.
Changing the slug is a bigger deal than changing the name. The slug can be tied to links and integrations, so editing it can break OAuth tokens, webhooks, and saved share links that point at the old value. When you save a slug change, Composerie shows a Confirm slug change dialog first so you can confirm or cancel.
Upload or remove your logo
Select the logo tile to upload an image. The recommended size is 512 by 512 pixels, as a PNG or SVG, up to 2 MB. Once a logo is set, a Remove logo option appears next to it if you want to clear it.
Set a contact email
Enter an address in the Contact email field. When you change this email, Composerie sends a verification email to the new address. The change only takes effect after you click the link in that email. Until then, the dashboard shows a banner reminding you that verification is pending, and the old address stays in place.
Regional defaults
The Regional section sets the default timezone and currency for your workspace. These are organization-level defaults that apply across the dashboard.
Use the Timezone dropdown to choose your region, and the Default currency dropdown to pick your currency. Supported currencies include EUR, USD, GBP, and several others such as JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, SEK, NOK, and DKK.
This is different from the Localization page. Regional here is the organization default. Localization (under Workspace) covers your personal dashboard display and the customizer language your shoppers see. For that, see set your language and formats.
When your changes look right, select Save changes at the bottom of the form. If you edited the slug, the Confirm slug change dialog appears before the save goes through.
Delete your organization
At the bottom of the General page is the Danger zone. Only the Owner can delete the organization here. Deleting it is permanent and removes the organization’s data, so treat this as a last step.
Open the delete confirmation
Scroll to the Danger zone and select Delete organization. A dialog opens asking you to confirm.
Type the organization name to confirm
In the dialog, type your exact organization name into the field. The confirm button stays disabled until the name matches. This guard stops an accidental delete.
Re-enter your password
For security, deleting the organization needs step-up verification. Composerie opens a Confirm your password prompt. Enter your password and select Verify. After that passes, the delete runs and you are signed out of the workspace.
If a subscription was still active, cancellation may be pending afterward. Composerie shows a note pointing you to support so you can confirm billing has stopped.
Why can I not see the General settings page?
General settings need the Admin role. Ask an Admin or Owner to grant you access, or have them make the change for you.
Why did changing my contact email not take effect?
Changing the contact email sends a verification message to the new address. The change applies only after you click the link in that email. Check your inbox and spam folder.
Is changing the slug safe?
Changing the slug can break OAuth tokens, webhooks, and saved share links tied to the old value. Composerie asks you to confirm first. Only change it when you must, then refresh anything connected to it.
Who can delete the organization?
Only the Owner. Deletion requires typing the exact organization name and re-entering your password before it goes through.
